The boss is in the upper-left, however, he's also an Assassin (not by class), and will come after you. Difficulty- 7/10 ++ Strategy ++ Despite being the Prologue, I've heard a few times that this is a challenging chapter. To start, the mercenary closest to you (and the only one) has a Killing Edge, so a good defensive unit with high HP is a decent choice to fight him with. How about that Knight over there? I'm sure you've realized that Reon can recruit him, so go ahead and do it. Then, have the knight attack the Mercenary, and end of the turn. The mercenary should attack you, maybe critical, but you'll live, and most likely win. If you don't kill'em, have Reon go in there and finish him, and Ethan on defensive. You'll want to vulnerary Ethan here as he may have taken some damage and the fighter can do a good 7, I think. After that, if the fighter isn't killed, move Ethan out of the way and give him a vulnerary, and have Reon kill him, which he should be able to easily do. By this time the soldier should come and Ethan should slaughter him, if Reon needs healing move him back into the forest and do so. Same thing with Ethan. The boss should come the next turn, and... ++ Boss ++ Uri: Soldier (CannotJoin) Difficulty- 5.3/10 Durand (Assassin) Uri "the Hawk Lance"/Hawaku Mori no Uri Strategy- Ethan is good against this guy if he's using a Javelin; if Uri is using his Weight Lance, then Ethan is history. Reon can critical this guy and kill him, but you have to make sure Uri uses his javelin; you can do this by hitting "A" on Uri and seeing his attack range, and moving into the farthest red square (keeping Ethan out of it too). Then he'll attack, hopefully miss, and you can use Ethan/Reon to slaughter him. Done~ -------------------------------- Chapter 1: The Banished Prince -------------------------------- [0x01] ++ New Characters ++ Van: Cavalier (Automatic) 8/10, 8.8/10 Durand (Knight) Van Terry/Wan Teri ++ Recommended Characters ++ No choice here. ++ Recommended Weapons/Items ++ Lances and swords, not like you have anything else. ++ Battle Layout ++ Chapter Goal- Defeat All Enemies Reinforcements- From Village (fighters), at the right (a soldier near the boss), and at the bottom (cavalier). The enemies are wide-apart but after you take care of the evil Durand men, there are bandits at the top to take care of. Strategy explains this better. Difficulty- 7.6/10 ++ Strategy ++ There are only a few enemies, however they are strong. Two hits of these can pretty much kill both Reon and Van, but I don't recommend Ethan-abusing either. I'd say, take out the soldier up there, have Ethan move straight ahead and killing anybody, and have Reon back-up. The archer is dangerous despite looks, he usually ends up giving the final blow. Take out the soldiers and use that forest square well. When the fighter comes, take him out with 1 character if possible, but if you can't at least take the archer out. I recommend, then, taking a step back (into the forests if you can) and healing, and slowly fighting the bandits (Reon and Van are good for this, they can level up). Don't go for the boss, as there are fighter reinforcements that purposely separate so that even if you're at the top you still have another enemy at-hand. A soldier will also appear near where the boss is, Ethan can kill him. Later, after your almost done cleaning up or done cleaning up, heal (with forests) and a cavalier will come. Reon's Rapier w/ a combo from Van is also good for this. When you're all done, to the boss! ++ Boss ++ Kethe (Thief) (CannotJoin) Difficulty- 4.2/10 Durand (Mercenary) Sean Kethe/Sin Ketsu/"Kethe the Thief" Strategy- Simple guy. I recommend to keep items away from him (as in vulneraries, since that's all you have at this point) and although Ethan can best him, Van can too (it's not as easy for him though), and Reon can too (hardest for him, he may need to use a vulnerary). ----------------------------- Chapter 2: The Summong Sword ----------------------------- [0x02] ++ New Characters ++ Hannah: Pegasus Knight (Automatic) 7.5/10, 8.4/10 Durand (Commoner) Hannah Norman/Hanna Noruman Lora: Cleric (Automatic) 9/10, 9.4/10 Durand (Commoner) Lora Igram/Roira Igaranmu Aaron: Mage (Talk with Reon, Ethan, or Lora) 8.5/10, 8.7/10 Durand (Mercenary) Aaron Igaram/Aron Igaranmu ++ Recommended Characters ++ No choice, you need all of them... ++ Recommended Weapons/Items ++ Swords, swords are win against all the bandits. ++ Battle Layout ++ Chapter Goal- Seize the Throne Reinforcements- Reinforcements walk up to the entrance from the south and the east. They came often and thus why you want to charge ahead and either take a defensive stance in the shrine or just go ahead and seize the throne. Enemies are teamed up against NPCs. After the first turn, it gets pretty crazy, so take 2-3 at a time with your group and have NPCs as distractions is a decent plan. Difficulty- 6/10 ++ Strategy ++ As in the battle layout/overview, the shrine is filled with a battle between Aaron's mercenary group and the Goroh bandits. Take out the bandits near the village with all your might, and try and get Hannah a few kills. Make sure Lora is always healing, and, if by some chance one of your units is on the death line, you may need to take a risk with Lora, provided 1) she has full health and 2) there is only 1 enemy that will be able to attack Lora. Once you clear out, have Van or Hannah go to the villages. You'll even find an NPC myrmidon there. Don't go to the shop or armory, because, you don't even have any money to buy anything. The boss has some pure gold you can sell for gold coins though, so after you beat him quickly head over there, buy some stuff, and make a little money with the arena. Back to the current situation, go ahead and charge the castle; slowly. Recruit Aaron and kick Goroh's ass, maybe with Sage Fire? It's a pretty good weapon, it's weaker than Thunder but can have 4 hits, so it's actually stronger. If I were you, I'd keep 1/25 uses of the weapon just because Sage Fire is useful in the Link Arena practice. xD Heal with Lora and vulneraries as necessary, and keep Hannah safe; only have her come to get the kill when it's clear. Reinforcements come this and that, if you need to check the reinforcements part at the top to make sure you don't send Hannah in the turn before reinforcements come and slaughter her. Yah, Hannah isn't very useful in this chapter... When pretty much done, you can either seize the throne with Reon (making sure you recruit Aaron), or you can wait, kill all the reinforcing bandits, and have fun at the arena, armory, and shop. I really only recommend getting everybody to level 10, any higher is just no fun and you're ruining the game by arena-abusing. There's a 20 turn time-limit, because on turn 20 reinforcements come and Reon talks about how he wasn't quick enough, and you lose! Mwahaha... Not to mention your rating goes down by using more turns. I beat this chapter in 5 turns, without cheating, and so did somebody else. Really. >_< ++ Boss ++ Goroh: Brigand (CannotJoin) Difficulty- 4.4/10 Durand (Bandit) Goroh/Goro (Has no last name) Strategy- Aaron can easily kill with Sage Fire, or Van/Reon can kill. I don't recommend Ethan unless you're in a fix. Hannah is the same, she's too weak, maybe you can have her get the kill but having her do anything is dangerous. =/ ---------------------------- Chapter 3: Thick as a Thief ---------------------------- [0x03] ++ New Characters ++ Mia: Archer (F) (Recruit with Hannah, Ethan, or Reon) 8.6/10, 9.7/10 Durand (Commoner) Mia Tiffany/Tifuni Mia Skere: Thief (Recruit with Aaron, Ethan, or Reon) 7.9/10, 8.5/10 Durand (Mercenary) Skere Marcel/Marseru Sukiri ++ Recommended Characters ++ Bring all characters; this is a good chance for Hannah to level up with all the soldiers, so if she hasn't been killed, she's vital. Aaron is "bleh" because you only need him for the knight boss, of which Ethan's javelin can take care of anyway. So if you can't bring in a character, keep Aaron out and all the others in. ++ Recommended Weapons/Items ++ Just bring all of them. Lances are recommended for this battle as a majority of Osage's underlings are soldiers. You don't have Wally yet anyway, so it's not like you can switch between storage and units anyway. ++ Battle Layout ++ Chapter Goal- Defeat All Enemies Lots of soldiers all over, surrounding you. Two sub-commanders in the main area of the castle (yes it is a castle) surrounded by a bunch of units. Chests at the top, and realistically, some of them are open and some of them aren't... There's a room in the middle that can be opened, with lots of chests. Skere is on the right and by the 2nd-3rd turn you should, or rather need to recruit him. Mia is also recommended as she is a good unit to have on your side (once leveled up of course). Reinforcements- From the stairs on the left the first few turns, then higher up, and some from the top-right of the map. Also a few thieves coming from the stairs in the chest room. Difficulty- 6.3/10 ++ Strategy ++ This is, really, an easy chapter. With Nujiken, Reon is powered up greatly. And all your units can get easy kills on the chapter. If you aren't too good at this game yet, then take it slowly. Recruit Skere with Reon, Ethan, or Aaron, and then divide your group as Skere gets the treasure from that room around where you recruited him. If you did bring Aaron, send him left. Have Reon go right, and Ethan go left, and the others it doesn't really matter too much as it's an easy chapter. While using Hannah, keep her out of range of the archers; she'll get utterly pwned if you aren't careful. Take things easy unless you're confident you'll be fine. Have Skere get the chests and anything you don't want, or something you'll probably end up buying like Fire, heal, Ether/mend, thunder, vulnerary, etc. you can throw away for something better (but keep some things too!) When Skere's done grabbing chests from the treasure room at the bottom and at the top-left, send him to the top-right. Galvan, the boss, is a skilled guy but Reon can easily own him. Have Mia get the kill, if you can, because she's probably not leveled up past 1-3. When you've beaten all the units, you're good to go! ++ Boss ++ Sub-Commander: Knight (CannotJoin) Difficulty- 5.2/10 Durand (Mercenary) (NoData) Sub-Commander: Mercenary (CannotJoin) Difficulty- 4.9/10 Alafia (Mercenary) (NoData) Galvan: Fighter (CannotJoin) Difficulty- 6/10 Durand (Commoner) Galvan Angelo/Anjeru Garuwan --------------------------------- Chapter 3: Dungeon- Mage Sisters --------------------------------- [0x03D] ++ New Characters ++ Zela: Mage (F) (Recruit with Sola or Reon) 9.8/10, 11/10 Durand (Commoner [Prodigy/Scholar]) Zela Twilight/Hakumei Zera Sola: Dancer (Recruit with Zela or Reon) 8.3/10, 9/10 Durand (Commoner) Sola Twilight/Hakumei Sola/Sora (Dependent on usage of Japanese dialogue) Thunk: Fighter (Recruit with Skere) 8.6/10, 9/10 Durand ++ Recommended Characters ++ No choice. ++ Recommended Weapons/Items ++ It doesn't matter, if you read the dialogue it says that the soldiers were caught off guard and had no weapons, thus it doesn't really matter... Iron Swords and Iron Lance are fine, in this matter. ++ Battle Layout ++ Chapter Goal- Recruit Zela and Sola and have them talk. Units will try and stop you from saving them but their lack of weapons doesn't really help them. It's a really easy chapter. Difficulty- 2/10 ++ Strategy ++ Kill the soldiers and recruit everybody, then have them talk. Feel free to dance around with Lora a bit and waste your time. ++ Boss ++ None. ---------------------------- Chapter 3: GD Go On or Die ---------------------------- [0x03GD] Note- GD = Gaiden ++ New Characters ++ None. ++ Recommended Characters ++ All your units will be allowed in this chapter; if you wanted, you could just have Reon and Ethan and escaping the battle would be easier. It's about strategy; if you don't have the unit deployed, they can't be killed, but then again you can't fight as hard and you won't get much experience; but then again, you're main goal is to win the chapter rather than get your units to level 20 and above. ++ Recommended Weapons/Items ++ Lances are imperative; Reon can take care of the Shaman's and the berserkers with his sword. Magic is good for range across the thickets and for the Dragon Knights, and even somewhat the cavaliers. ++ Battle Layout ++ Units all over; dragon rider reinforcements from the mountains, and many cavalier reinforcements. Paladins start coming too. Berserkers and shaman's from the right. It's a tough battle if you try and take them head on; and the longer you fight the harder the enemies are. I've done my best to make it so that you can't beat them all and you're forced to escape, but Reon and Ethan hold up pretty well that when I was playing I beat all the units besides the berserkers near the bridge, an archer, and Mercenary Osage, who is definitely unbeatable. ++ Strategy ++ Your strategy is to take out some of them, and keep on the defensive. Have Reon and Zela/Aaron head off to escape, with a combination of Reon's Rapier and magic the knights have no chance, and sword > axe so the berserkers are done for. Sola should stay back and dance, for the most part, because even if you buy a tome for her, Sola's attacks are still weak so it's better for her to dance on other units. If she's not busy, have her visit the villages. When Reon gets to the bridges, wait there, and you've beaten the chapter. Note- Buy a few tomes, vulneraries, weapons for Thunk if you recruited him last chapter, maybe a steel lance for Ethan, and only a few weapons. You don't have Wally yet means not much carrying space. (You get Wally chapter 6, FTI). Note- Don't waste your time with the arena! There are plenty of enemies ahead of you so there's no reason to be bored. ++ Boss ++ No Boss Info (when the boss reappears in other chapters, boss info will be there). END OF WALKTHROUGH FOR VERSION 0.7! HOPE YOU ENJOYED!
